Controversial Video of Senegal U17 Players Emerges

In recent hours, a video has emerged showing players from the Senegal youth team mocking River Plate midfielder Franco Mastantuono during the U-17 World Cup held in Indonesia in 2023. In the images, Yaya Diémé is seen hitting the Argentine player on the back of the neck as he tried to exit the elevator. Meanwhile, the rest of Diémé's teammates are laughing at the situation.

According to reports, although the incident took place about a year ago, the video was recently leaked because Diémé had a birthday, and as part of the celebration, his teammates decided to share it to send him congratulations.

"It is important to emphasize that respect in sports should be paramount in any circumstance. This type of behavior should not be accepted at any level of football, especially in a youth international tournament," commented a FIFA representative when asked about this issue.
